Eric KAYUMBU

Senior IT Officer & QMS Coordinator

Kayumbu Eric is an experienced IT professional with over a decade of experience managing and optimizing IT infrastructure within Horizon Logistics Ltd. Currently serving as Senior IT Officer and QMS Coordinator at Horizon Logistics Ltd, he oversees all aspects of IT operations, including network installation and configuration, database management, user support, information security, and system troubleshooting. His expertise extends to quality management, where he monitors service quality, develops control procedures, performs audits, and leads quality control teams.                                                                                                                                            Prior to his current role, Mr. Kayumbu served as IT Officer at both Horizon Logistics Ltd and Horizon Group Ltd, where he honed his skills in network administration, database management, user support, and information security. From 2011 to 2014, he was the IT Manager at Kibungo Referral Hospital, responsible for the hospital's end-to-end IT operations, including network design and management, Hospital Management System implementation, help desk support, and equipment maintenance. He also gained site supervision experience at Horizon Construction Ltd, contributing to the National Backbone Network of Rwanda project.                                                                                                                                                                                                   Mr. Kayumbu holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Information Technology from the College of Science and Technology (UR-CST), formerly Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), and a Graduate Diploma in Leadership Development in ICT and the Knowledge Society from Dublin City University. He also holds several certifications, including ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and Implementer, CCNA networking certifications, East Africa Customs and Freight Forwarding Practicing Certificate and a certificate in Business Continuity Management and Operational Resilience. He is fluent in English, French, Kinyarwanda, and Swahili.
